Paperkeg is a weekly book club podcast that is hosted by three best friends who have a life long love of comics. The show makes makes an effort to review a wide variety of titles, publishers, and styles in an effort to show that comics can be more than superheroes.

"BEER AMERICANA"

Paperkeg started at a time when great audio quality in podcasts was rare. Knowing the difference that great audio could make, all the Paperkeg episodes were recorded live in the same room. This was the shows main selling point for the first few years in the shows history, and can be seen being depicted in their old artwork.

As the podcast has grown, the aspect of the show that continues to resonate with new and regular listeners is the strong friendship between the three hosts and the way that listeners feel included in that bond.

The podcast's title and discussion style were inspired by the times in your life when new friendships are being forged through the conversations had standing around at a party. I wanted the redesign for Paperkeg to evoke the brands of beer you would find at those parties. It is the easy drinking beer of your early years. It's the brand of beer that you shared with people you didn't know at the time, but it’s also the beer you shared with the people you still call your best friends.
